Every building, residential or commercial needs an emergency exit but it’s often designed to stand out for quick access using push bars, allowing rapid evacuation. Emergency exits may not be fire-rated doors but they can be fire-resistant to some extent. However, most of them are made using aluminium, composite, steel, timber and UPVC, none being too resistant to high temperatures. In the event of a blackout, illuminated escape doors are located with ease.
